Halloween

Guess what did I dress up as?
Crazy Halloween night with Simone, Seline and Alexandra.
We were planning to go to this Halloween party at first at 9.30 and catching a Halloween movie at 11.15 before the party gets too wild.
So Alex was supposed to pick me up at 8 but then her phone had some probs and she couldnt call me. And I didn't tell her my exact address. Hoho how clever of me.
So she got down from the car in her Vampire outfit and started looking for me everywhere.
Found an Indian guy who she borrowed a phone from. But she doesn't know any number.lol.
When she left the SHORT indian hugged her and didn't let go.
And his face was at her chest cause he's so bloody short. HAHAH.
She finally got away and went back home. By that time we were all panicking cause we could't call her at all.
But after one hour of waiting she finally called and explained everything.
Finally picked me up 20 minutes later,rushed to Seline and Simone's place and got ready.
Decided to go movie first and party after that.
And the movie is so so stupid. hahahaha
A cult movie called 'The rocky horror picture show'
We only paid 3 euros per ticket cause we were wearing costumes and because we're cheapskates like that.

I wouldn't have seen this movie in Malaysia. Too *cough* many *cough* **** scenes.
Should have seen my face at the end of the movie. My jaw was on the floor.
But it was fun la. A slice of American culture.
Seline and Simone are sisters. Both with French and American nationalities.
Their dad's is a bouncer in Chicago. How cool is that?

So we got to the party at 2am but Simone really wanted to leave badly since everyone seemed older. Like maybe 25 and above but we had to stay for 10 minutes since Seline had to give himm back some money she owed. When we FINALLY found the tipsy host I ran away by myself and I don't know why.
So this mummy came by and asked me something in german which I couldn't catch. So asked him to repeat it in English again and he said 'Areee youu scaredd?'
Yes I am.
And when we finally could escape I even said 'See you!' to the mummy.
hahaha. And I don't know how he looks like since he's all covered up.
Germany is so boring. No mcds open 24 hours. So all of us noob foreigners went to the city at 3 and at 4 degrees walked around for 20 minutes looking for any opened cafes.
On the way there we saw a Hotel Hottmann. Omg. Why are germans so funny.

Called home just now to talk to grandma before she flies off to KK.

Went grocery shopping twice today because I had nothing to do.
Finishing my A2 next week and starting B1 immediately after that.
I've been here for one month and a half.
In these one and a half months,
I've got to know great friends,
I got confused,
I became a better cook. :)

Thank you Lord for giving me the strength.

And I haven't met anyone my age yet. lol.
Everyone is older than me.

I'm enjoying life now.
Enjoying cooking lunch together with Lilly almost every day after class.
Enjoying the occasional coffee with friends.

By the way, Maram is an Egyptian and she's 20.
And guess what- She's married.
But that's not all. She got engaged to her husband after 3 days of knowing each other.
And no, it's not an arranged marriage.
Sounds so romantic right. :)

Something happened this week that made me a tinsy bit flattered. :)
While I was cooking dinner a few days ago, the chinese guy who stays on my floor said that he wants to tell me a funny story about me.
I was like ' Okkkk tell'
'No you must sit down first'
'But why? 0.0. What did I do wrong that's so funny?'
'Just sit down first'
*Sits down*
'You know my friend who lives at the second floor? The girl? She told me that a few days ago a random Chinese guy knocked on her door and asked her if she knew a girl with long hair, wears glasses and has dark skin. She said ' Yea and why do you want to look for her?'
And the guy said 'Oh I just want to know her'.
Hahahahaha.
I don't know if I should feel creep out or what.
But nah, I'll choose flattered. :)

Heute

I am so confused.
Really.
I was talking to a Hongkee and a korean and a taiwanese at the same time.
They can all understand and speak some english but then I had to be so gepoh and I tried to speak Cantonese.
And then while speaking my noob Cantonese I didn't know how to say 'but' and I said 'aber' which is also but, but in german.
And they all can't understand German.

Too many languages @.@.
I need to practice my Malay cause when my friend asked me to speak some Malay just for fun, I FORGOT HOW TO SAY ANYTHING.
I'm scared.

But yea I'm having fun learning German and meeting new friends from everywhere.
Last Saturday I went to Heidelberg with sis, Alexandra and Oli.
It was really fun.

Letzte woche bin ich in Heidelberg gegagen und hatte ich viel viel Spaβ. Heidelberg ist sehr schön. :)

And today i went down to the city with Lilly and Chia Lee, then bumped into Maram :)
Oh another thing, I thought I could have a one year holiday JUST doing language. But boy, I have tests every week and they all count towards the end of the course and decide whether I can go on to the next course. Stress ah stress.






Oh I'm having eczema. %*&^*&%U%&%*.
I swear it's the milk.
I only started drinking milk 2 weeks ago after how many gazillion years.
Was so estatic that I wasn't getting gastric after drinking milk that I started drinking it every day.
And now, it triggered off my eczema.
I think it's the milk.
Don't scratch, don't scratch, don't scratch.

Already spent 43 euros this week.
Gah why is everything soooo expensive here. That's like 220 ringgit already. Omg.
I need to stop converting.
And I don't even shop much.
I buy things like...groceries.
But since I'm still settling in so it won't happen every week right? Right??
Oh wait there's that 15 euro sweater I bought. But it was just 15 euros and I need thick clothes.
And the mug, I can't have too many mugs right?

Going to school- Coming back after school/Lunch with friends- Come back- Cook lunch- Stone at facebook- Revise German-Cook Dinner- Stone and revise again- Shower- Sleep

Every single weekday.

But I'm enjoying every bit of it. I know you guys who are already in uni are so stressed out right now. HAHHAAH.
It's my turn next year. Only that my course will be in German. Oh joy.

It's getting to 0 degrees now. So coldddd. Long johns coming up!

I enjoyed my weekend very much. Thanks jie :). Too bad we didnt take any pictures except for Charlie the German Shepherd.

From taking the wrong train to freezing in the swimming pool and sweating in the sauna and then to have fat white guys staring at your chest. It was all good :)

And I finally bought my winter boots! So gorgeous. Like military boots. You love them right Paik hwa? *grins*
Mom gave me a limit of 60 euros and TADA its 60 euros.
And a skirt and scarf from H&M from Ulm.
Went to Ulm with sis, Stefan, Micheal and Manuel.
After that had a japanese buffet.
Damn kau nice.
10 euros. Of course nice la.
At night went to a restaurant for beer but they only let me drink apple juice. Blardy.

Next day went to see Charlie and some football matches.
Rushed back home to pack and take the 2 hours train.
Oh I woke up one time in the train and my face was at a guy's shoulder. Don't know if my head really touched his shoulder or not.
Malu malu. But then he didn't move away after that so I hope not?

Reached home at 9 with the 8kg luggage. Scary shit. So dark somemore.
I had lots of fun this weekend.

Just came back from my second day of class. It's pretty interesting. Everyone is very friendly and I've been hanging out with a few Chinese... all from diff countries. Not joking.lol
A chinese guy from US
A chinese girl from Singapore
and a chinese girl from China.
But we speak english.
Weird thing about the china chinese (lily) is that I saw her at the office last week. More specifically at the toilet. Noticed here because she's really pretty and has very long and curly hair.
And yesterday she came back with me to my room to study.
lol.
From seeing her in the toilet to being classmates.
In my class there are ppl from France, Poland, Greece, Argentina, Turkey, Singapore, US, China and Malaysia (me)
and I'm youngest in my class. haha.
Lily is 27 and she kept saying that I'm very mature for my age. I feel very proud. XD
She said especially when I'm staying alone (cooking,travelling)
For that I thank God for providing me everything I need here.
Good friends and companionship.
Oh the chinese guy has the same birthday as me. Which means I won't forget his bday.lol
And he gets headaches when he drinks coffee. He can be my hot choco buddy. His name is Elethia. I think thats how its spelled
The singaporean was a Singapore airlines air stewardess. She's now accompanying her husband while he's working for his doctorate.
Yest I got lost for 20 minutes walking to my school. But it's nice getting lost here. Especially autumn, It's not like getting lost in Malaysia where I'll get worried about being kidnapped.
Saw 2 fat cats here. I love german cats. So round and fat and friendly.
Gtg and finish up my homework now. Missing nasi lemak and late night supper with parents.

So I'm in Germany now. Stuttgart to be exact. Touched down at the Munich International Airport with maybe 2 hours of sleep? Couldn't find a good position to sleep in until 3 hours before I landed. Gave up and watched 3 movies. I love Etihad!
Stefan and sis picked us up and we drove to Ulm and did some sight seeing before going back to Stefan's place in a small village called Bad Buchau.
Slept for 1 hour plus and my sis dragged me to go get ice cream at the town, which is 5 minutes away, which shows how small Bad Buchau is. But everything was really quaint. The 'let's go get ice cream' turned to get ice cream>>> go to Stefan's brother's place>>to a walk to the lake. 2 hours of walking!. Normally I can do more but I haven't sleep for 2 days. But I felt quite proud that I didn't get jet lag. Maybe it's because I sleep at 3am almost every day back in Malaysia.

So we went to Lake Konstanz the day after, walked around. Didn't shop because most shops close on Sundays, even in the shopping malls. I've seen so many dogs here> German shepherds, rough collie, chihuahua,rottweiler,huskies,pugs, daschunds. Some of them unleashed....including the rottweiler. lol. But all the dogs are well trained to follow their owners everywhere. They're allowed to enter shopping malls, restaurants and even the train. How I wished Huahua or Roxy were like that. I have huahua the grumpy who's too afraid to step out of the house and Roxy who pees on the wall. Lovely. I miss them terribly though.

I just finished all the admin work today. Bank accounts, registration at the town hall, health insurance, applying for internet, making an appointment for my residence permit. Everything was such a pain and I'm glad that it's over. Just left with the appointment on the 23/11 when I turn 18. Really thank God that they didn't ask my dad to stay with me until my appointment. Super panic yesterday and the day before yest.

Went to the bank, found out that to open a bank account, I require signatures from both parents since I'm underage. Crap.
Panic again.But the officer said I could send it back to Malaysia so my mom can print it out and sign the docs and scan it back.
My mom doesn't know how to use the computer. Oh shit.
But the neighbours do! Took them 3 hours to do that and by that time I was fidgeting so much.
At last I have a bank account after much trouble. Thought my worries were over.

But wait,the next day,
When I called for the appointment for the residence permit, my name wasnt in the records even though I have already registered with the town hall. Shit.
Turns out they put my name under Zhen, which is stupid, because my name is Evangeline Kang Tze Zhen and I've already told them my family name is Kang.
So phew. But wait, have to call another day because they have this shit schedule where they only open at most 3 hours a day.
And then I was told that the appointment is mostly 2 to 3 weeks away.
Worse comes to worse I'll apply when I turn 18.My visa ends on the 25-11 while my birthday is 22-11. Oh crap ok breathe in breathe out don'tttt panic. Pray.
Next day I called and they automatically arranged for me an appointment on the 23-11 when I turn 18. OMG PHEWWW. The germans aren't so bad after all. And when I said my dad is going back next week, the person said its okay since im already turning 18 on the 23rd.

Then I can only apply for internet on Monday and Thursday since the office also has the stupid schedule of only opening 6-7pm on mon and thurs.
And my caretaker's office only opens 1.30 to 2.30pm every day.
Bloody annoying.

Anyways I got my internet and everything is nice and dandy.
The sis and Stefan are coming down tmrw, cramming into my hostel room. It'll be fun.

Oh my hostel. It's co ed. So it's a little disturbing when you're showering and you'll think that a guy is showering just next door. And the toilet is one floor down but it's 2am now so it's scary and I'm trying not to go to the toilet but hell I drank 2 glasses of water these 2 hours. And I've been cooking dinner these past 2 days. Stew yest and pasta today. Turned out great. So proud of myself lol.

I'm going to sleep now.
